It’s quite surprising that you don’t know how to spin in OlliOlli World until the third land of the game, but you can do it much earlier than when it tutorializes you. Here’s how to do this essential move in OlliOlli World.
Performing a spin in OlliOlli World
While you’re going up a ramp, make sure you get plenty of power by speeding up with the A button, and then jump. In order to spin in OlliOlli World, hold either the LR or ZR buttons on your Nintendo Switch controller or Joycon, while you’re in the air. Unlike the Tony Hawk Pro Skater series, OlliOlli World will automatically propel you the nearest 180 degrees.
If you want to score more points, you can also pull off a holding stance while turning round. Simply move your right stick and hold the shoulder buttons to perform the action. It’s pretty difficult, however, especially while in Handheld mode. It can be done, however, with enough practice, and you’ll be rewarded with more points.
If you play the main campaign mode, the Jackal Tracks allows you to explore spinning moves more in-depth. Two of its challenges require you to land a 540 spin and perform a 360 into a wallride on the Jackal’s billboard. If you finish these two challenges, plus riding every wall and landing them, you’ll get the bone-shaped skateboard that Jackal-Man uses. Switching to more challenging lanes may help you with these tasks as they usually provide bigger jumps.
