How To Evolve Your Pikachu Into A Raichu In Pokémon Legends: Arceus
Leveling up your Pikachu and not seeing the evolution you’re after in Pokémon Legends: Arceus? Well, sorry to say this, but you’re doing it wrong. Here’s how to evolve your Pikachu into the mighty Raichu. Ash Ketchum might be disappointed in you, but he never has to know.
In order to evolve Pikachu into Raichu, you’ll need a Thunder Stone, and they can be hard to find. But the silver lining is that you can acquire this item in three ways.
1) Acquiring Merit Points
Throughout the game, fellow players online will drop their satchels as they fall unconscious from a wild Pokémon’s attacks. You can be a good samaritan for other trainers throughout the world by picking up their satchels while exploring each location. When returned, they will get their loot back, and you’ll be rewarded with Merit Points. To earn the points, you’ll need to go to your menu, press ZR twice and you’ll find “Lost & Found.” From there, press A on every lost satchel you’ve completed.
If you accumulate at least 1,000 Merit Points, you can buy a Thunder Stone from Simona in Jubilife Village. She’s located to the left of the Galaxy Hall and is nearby the Training Grounds. You can spot Simona with her wooden cart and Togepi flag.
2) Crushing some rocks
You have to be lucky, but you can find Thunder Stones by crushing rocks. During our playthrough, we found a Fire Stone by crushing one of the red crystals on the grass. It may be a coincidence but we believe you could find Thunder Stones by beating yellow crystals as that’s the color of the type. This has only happened once, meaning that acquiring a Thunder Stone by crushing a crystal is unlikely to occur.
3) Waste time in the space time
You can find these important Thunder Stones within the space-time distortions that appear every so often. They spawn at random times, and you’ll be able to find some of these evolution stones in there if you’re lucky.
Time to evolve the Pikachu into Raichu
Once you finally grasp that Thunder Stone, select the item from your menu and press A to confirm on Pikachu. The evolution animation will then begin, and you’ll have a Raichu by the end of it. There’s no going back now unless you catch another Pikachu and train it up.
If there are any other ways of getting a Thunder Stone, we’ll update this post promptly.
