EG8 Comhar All-in-One Standing Desk Review – The Perfect Nintendo Switch Set-Up

We have something a little different for you today on Nintendo Link. We are usually all about the games, but what about something to make your set-up the best it can be? That’s where today’s review comes in – the EG8 Comhar All-in-One Standing Desk from FlexiSpot (Massive thank you to them sending this out to us).

Is a standing/seated desk worth the money? Will it make your set-up perfect? Lets find out!

The EG8 Comhar All-in-One Standing Desk is one of the coolest things I have had the chance to review yet. This is a multi-functional desk that can electronically be made higher or lower with a simple push of a button. With two USB Type-A ports and one USB Type C port along with a convenient pull-out drawer embedded in the desktop itself, this desk is suited for all of your needs.

Lets start off with the initial set-up. The EG8 Comhar All-in-One Standing Desk comes in two packages. Let me rephrase that, two huge packages, that are extremely heavy. I couldn’t lift either of them alone, and so it was a little bit of a pain to put together. The EG8 claims to have a ”simple 2-step assembly”, and whilst that is true, it still requires two people to simply lift the desk up when it has been built.

The EG8 has a very simplistic design with a glass top finish and comes in a choice of two colours: black or white. I was sent the white design and it looks gorgeous. It’s simple, it’s sleek, and it’s compact. The perfect fit for any home office or for your gaming room set-up. It’s very spacious and easily has enough room to fit my Nintendo Switch along with my iPad and my Laptop, with plenty of room to spare. You could very easily have a two-monitor set-up on this thing.

Now, the main purpose of this desk is the fact that the height of it can be made higher and lower to suit your liking and let me tell you, it’s a wonderful thing. Simply plug it in and press a simple button to set it how you like. It has a range of 28.3″ to 47.6″, and it even has the ability to set four presets which I had to the perfect height for seated and standing. Oh and don’t worry, it also has a safe lock button so that children or pets can’t alter the position.

I found it super refreshing to be able to shift between sitting and standard during both my gaming and writing sessions. Sometimes when I’m working (or gaming) I can get a little restless and distracted purely because of the fact that I am uncomfortable, so being able to simply stand up and press a button and be just as comfortable is amazing and so proactive.

From a safety point of view also, the EG8 has an anti-collision feature which means that if and when the desk senses anything underneath it when it is in movement, it will automatically stop before any damage can be caused. A blessing, really.

The embedded drawer is super spacious and is big enough to hold many accessories and cables you may want to keep out of reach until needed.

The EG8 can hold a weight up to 110lbs, which is a decent amount, but what I was most impressed with was just how little movement the desk has when you are changing it’s height. There’s no wobbling or jolting, meaning that anything you have on the desk at the time should and will be safe… including a cup of coffee.

Overall, the EG9 Comhar All-in-One Standing Desk is a brilliant investment if you have the cash. It is a bit pricey, but it is totally worth the cost. Not only does it make a wonderful addition to any gaming set-up, but it also provides a greater comfort with the ability to switch (See what I did there?) between standing and sitting so simply. I never would have thought I would prefer standing at a desk, but here I am, doing just that.
