Five April 2022 Nintendo Switch Games To Watch Out For

Nintendo Switch Sports Sword Fighting

The April 2022 Nintendo Switch lineup is fairly stacked with adventures in a galaxy, far, far away, and plenty of sports to play from baseball to badminton. Here’s what to expect from the coming month.

Sci-fi narrative adventure 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim will be released on April 12 for the Nintendo Switch. The critically acclaimed game features an intriguing story and gorgeous art to help create a unique tale. There’s also a mediocre combat system featuring mechs. You may know the developer Vanillaware from their work on Odin Sphere and Dragon’s Crown. If you preorder a physical copy of 13 Sentinels, you will get a few art cards as a bonus.

The House of the Dead: Remake – April 7

Classic rail shooter The House of the Dead is getting a remake on April 7 for the Nintendo Switch. As an exclusive April 2022 Nintendo Switch game, it will feature multiple control options. You can use the gyro in the Pro Controller to aim your shots or you can wield two Joycons in its “Cowboy Mode.” Having motion controls for an arcade game that has physical plastic guns seems like a match made in heaven on the Nintendo Switch. We can’t wait to experience its campy horror experience once more. In addition to the digital version, you can get a physical copy.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga – April 5

The Force is strong with this one. All nine episodes will be featured in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga in a completely reworked system that is setting the path for the future of this celebrated series of games. There will be hundreds of characters to play as while you experience the story from start to end. And you know that Traveller’s Tales will include their slapstick humor into the title one way or another. It will be landing on store shelves and on the Nintendo eShop on April 5. It’s certainly one of the most anticipated April 2022 Nintendo Switch games.

MLB The Show 22 – April 5

The premier baseball game from Sony San Diego is finally coming to the Nintendo Switch after its debut on Xbox systems last year. Batting for an April 5 release, MLB The Show 22 brings its famous Road to the Show mode that has you create your own baseball superstar and go through the season with RPG-style mechanics. In addition, Diamond Dynasty lets you create your own team by collecting fantasy cards. What makes the game better is that you can also play with your friends on other consoles through crossplay.
