Can You Get Atelier Sophie 2 Physical?

Koei Tecmo’s latest JRPG Atelier Sophie 2 is available physically in retail stores like GameStop and Best Buy. Unlike the Deluxe Edition for Monark, the retail release for Atelier Sophie 2 physical edition is just the disc, and doesn’t include goodies like a mini-soundtrack and mini art book.

Something you should know is that the physical edition of past Atelier games has been hard to find in the past as they run out of stock quickly. At GameStop Canada, for example, both the PS4 and Switch versions of Atelier Sophie 2 have been sold dry online. As the games are trying to appeal to a niche audience, less stock is likely made of the product, ramping up the used game price on eBay and Amazon.

Koei Tecmo is also emphasizing fans to buy the game within the first two weeks. If you decide to pick up the game, it will include Sophie’s Comfy and Casual costume for free. This is the outfit of another protagonist from the series named Ryza.

There is also a Limited Edition of Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream, but it can only be purchased through the NIS America store or Koei Tecmo’s store in Europe. This is currently sold out for North America at the time of writing, but it includes an art book, bonus soundtrack, a B3 Fabric Poster, Sophie’s Whale Necklace Keychain, a “My New Look” costume download code, and a collector’s box.

Europeans can still order this special Limited Edition on the Koei Tecmo store for £79.99, including VAT. The website currently states that there’s 25-50% stock left at the time of writing.
