Where To Find Hippopotas In Pokémon Legends: Arceus – Request 24 Walkthrough

As you continue to explore Pokémon Legends: Arceus, you’ll be given a bunch more sidequests to complete, otherwise known as requests in the game. One quest includes finding two Hippopotas, one of each gender for the fashionista Anthe from Jubilife Village.

While you can get this quest while you are adventuring through the Obsidian Fieldlands, you won’t be able to complete Request 24 until you unlock Crimson Mirelands by finishing part of the story and getting your second star.

Where to find your Hippopotas

This new area is where you’ll find the Hippopotas. You can see them roaming around the Sludge Mound, which is south of the map and southeast of the Golden Lowlands. While they’re common to find, they can be tricky to catch. If you fight them, they’ll usually flee within a turn. However, if you use berries as a trap and then wait for them to swim nearby you, the Pokémon is easier to catch stealthily.

Try to use a Heavy Ball for maximum effect as it’s useful against unsuspecting Pokémon. A Pokéball is fine as well, but it is best used when it hits behind the monster as that increases the odds of catching the Hippopotas

How to check Hippopotas’ gender and finishing the request

During this quest, you’ll want to catch both a male and a female. When you’re nearby the Hippopotas, hold the ZL button on your controller to check what gender it is and it’s level.

Once you have both collected, go back to Jubilife Village and talk to Anthe, the clothes seller once again. Remind her about the conversation you had, and then select both the male and female Hippopotas. Their change in skin inspires her to create more styles for your character to buy. Request 24 is now complete!
