Arkanoid: Eternal Battle Coming in 2022
Microids is working together with Taito on a new project, and the two sides announced today that Arkanoid: Eternal Battle, a new Arkanoid for the modern age, is releasing in 2022. French studio Pastagames, whose previous work includes the likes of Rayman Legends, Pang Adventures and Pix the Cat, is handling the development.

For me, it was in the French city of Nice, 54 boulevard Jean Médecin, in a dark arcade called ‘Automat’. It was full of neons and highly diverse people, from bikers to middle schoolers. The arcade machine was breathtaking, with its metal ball-bearing paddle, while I was just a regular fifteen-year-old trying to get on with adolescence. We immediately fell for each other, and our relationship lasted several years. We all have our own story with Arkanoid. It feels so good to come together again, after all these years.

Arkanoid: Eternal Battle will launch in 2022, and although platforms have not been announced, all of Microids’ releases have come to Nintendo Switch. Keep an eye out here for more news regarding this title.
