Animal Crossing: New Horizons Direct Concludes Free DLC and Introduces Paid DLC
During today’s Animal Crossing: New Horizons Direct, Nintendo announced the end of free DLC for the popular title as well as introduced new DLC in the form of Happy Homes Paradise. All of the new content will be launching on the Nintendo Switch on November 5th, 2021.
The free content will include things like Brewster at the museum who will provide a wonderful coffee roaster experience where you can even bring along other residents and friends thanks to amiibo functionality.
The free DLC will also bring ladders, improved camera, town ordinances, more goods to buy with Nook Miles, gyroids, and so much more!
In addition to the free DLC, Nintendo also announced Happy Homes Paradise which will be available for purchase on November 5th, 2021.

The premise of the DLC is that you’ll assist Paradise Planning, a resort developer, in designing vacation homes. You will be in charge of coordinating dream lifestyles for characters, and you want to help others acquire their dream vacation homes.
When arriving on the island, you will take a tour of the home, place the furniture that’s been requested by a client, and everything else is then up to you. Recommended furniture will be available to you. You can add lighting to the ceiling, wallpaper, and more. Placing furniture, fencing, paths, and trees outside of the house is also possible. The home’s location and exterior can be modified as well, on top of the season, time of day, and weather.
Eventually, more design techniques will open up. These include adjusting the size of the interior. Partition walls can also be used to divide the space, counters with two different heights, and pillars that support the ceiling. You can also incorporate soundscapes. Polishing furniture can also be done for added effects.
Once you get paid for your efforts, you can even spend your money on unique furniture available only at the resort! It was even teased that you will be able to redesign residents’ homes on your home island as well.
All DLC will drop on November 5th, 2021, and the Happy Homes Paradise DLC will cost $24.99 USD. There will even be a new set of Animal Crossing amiibo cards (Series 5) available for purchase at retailers on November 5th, so look forward to that as well!
