Sora is the Last DLC Fighter for Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Plus Doom Slayer Mii Costume
During today’s final Mr. Sakurai Presents for Super Smash Bros Ultimate presentation, Sakurai-san revealed that the final character in the epic platform brawler is Sora from the Kingdom Hearts series.
Sora has been a character that fans have begged for since Super Smash Bros Ultimate started featuring more third-party characters. Sora’s inclusion just feels natural, and fans are sure to be excited about his addition to the roster.

Sora is a pretty straight-forward character, which means most players will be able to enjoy him fully, as he has relatively strong attacks, good combos, and excellent recovery.
This final DLC also includes a new stage themed around the Kingdom Hearts universe that transforms as you battle on it. When the battle is coming to an end, it turns into a somber stage where Kingdom Heart characters are displayed in the background. It looks gorgeous and is definitely a wonderful homage to the series.
As per the usual, the Sora DLC comes with a large soundtrack from the Kingdom Hearts games, which really rounds out the package. There are 9 tracks in total that focus on the central themes of the series.
Finally, there are 8 new Spirit Board entries for the Kingdom Hearts series to add even more to this new DLC fighter package.
In addition to the announcement of Sora in the series, Sakurai-san also announced that three new Mii costumes will be able for $0.75 USD on the eShop starting on October 18th, 2021. Those costumes include an Octoling hat from Splatoon 2, a Jud hat from Splatoon, and a Doom Slayer costume from Doom.
The Sora DLC will also be available on the same day and is included in the Fighters Pass Vol. 2, which also includes Min Min, Steve & Alex, Sephiroth, Pyra/Mythra, and Kuzuya, but it can also be purchased separately for $5.99 USD.
Watching this presentation was a lot of fun, because Sakurai and company were clearly enjoying themselves, cracking jokes, laughing, and making the most of this final Mr. Sakura Presents. Hope you all enjoyed!
