The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Soundtrack Releasing in Japan

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD soundtrack

When it comes to video game soundtracks, no place gets more spoiled than the home of Nintendo. It looks like Japan will continue this trend, because they will soon be receiving The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Soundtrack with five CDs and a couple other goodies.

The CD collection contains 187 tracks from the game as well as some other surprises, like the Wii Channel music.

The soundtrack will be sold in two options, with a standard option that includes just the CDs and a limited option that contains all the CDs plus a music box that plays The Ballad of the Goddess.

Both options will release on November 23rd, 2021 in Japan, with the cost being ¥5,500 ($50) for the standard and ¥8,800 ($80) for the limited option. Pre-orders can be reserved at Nippon Columbia and they appear to be live now. Unfortunately, though, it appears you need a Japanese address to fulfill this order, so unless you have a friend in Japan that you can mail it to, I would wait for Play-Asia to purchase one of these.

My apologies that his is a very Japan-centric article, but there is no word on a western release and given the track record of Japanese video game soundtracks coming to the other side of the world, I would not bet on this one.
