Zelda and Loftwing amiibo Revealed for Zelda: Skyward Sword HD
Nintendo have announced a brand new amiibo for the upcoming release of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD. The amiibo features Zelda and her Loftwing in what appears to be a beautifully made figure with no clear or yellow stick holding either character up. Thank goodness! This makes me really want this Zelda and Loftwing amiibo.

The new amiibo will have specific functionality with the new Skyward Sword HD. While on the surface, you can call Fi, and she will present to you a list of options including amiibo. Choosing amiibo and scanning the Zelda and Loftwing amiibo figure will present you the option to return to the sky, something that is normally only available at save statues.
Also, while you are in the air, the same amiibo scan will return you to where you previously were when you initially scanned the amiibo to return to the sky. This will allow for some pretty quick traveling, and I am sure it will help the speedrunning community a ton! This amiibo ability even works in dungeons and other places you would be surprised by.
The new Zelda and Loftwing amiibo will launch alongside The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD on July 16th, 2021. Get ready to take to the skies!
