Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury Review Roundup

Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is finally here, and it looks like the early impressions are quite solid. No one should have expected otherwise, as the original Super Mario 3D World on the Wii U scored highly among all major sites and magazines around the world.

This time, we are seeing similar results, with one hiccup among a solid group of near-perfect scores. IGN seems to be the only place that didn’t enjoy the game as much as before, but it is worth noting that it is a different reviewer this time around and he doesn’t seem like a platforming fan.

So it looks like the consensus is top-tier. There are no reviews under 7/10, and there are quite a few 10/10s and 9/10s. Whether you are a fan of the series or not, that should be quite intriguing.

Since the Wii U had a very small install base, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is a brand new experience for most Nintendo Switch owners. Not only that, the inclusion of online multiplayer and an extensive photo mode adds a lot more to the base game, but the addition of Bowser’s Fury is what sets this apart from its Wii U original.

No matter how you spin it, this looks like it is set to be a fantastic game for the Switch library and one that people should truly check out once the game releases on February 12, 2021.
