The Game of Life: Super Mario Edition Board Game Announced, Yahoo!

Board games were and still are a huge part of peoples childhoods. I used to love playing The Game of Life with my family around the dinner table. I wished we would have had this version though – The Game of Life: Super Mario Edition.

Releasing on August 1st, this well-known game will include painted miniatures of Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Yoshi and its own themed board. Unlike the original game, though, the Super Mario Edition will feature a not-so-linear path, allowing players to travel anywhere on the board.

Instead of collecting children and getting jobs (you know, real-world boring stuff), you will be tasked with collecting power-ups, gathering allies whilst competing in various mini-games such as Rock, Paper, Scissors and Thumb Wars. Yeah, it’s the real-life Mario Party.

Among the allies, you can pick up are Waluigi, Toad, Rosalina, and the great Donkey Kong! In this version instead of competing to be the best at life, you’re competing to be the best at defeating Bowser. Really, it should be called The Game of Bowser…
