SteamWorld Dig 2 is March Game Trial for Japan’s Nintendo Switch Online
Nintendo of Japan announced recently that SteamWorld Dig 2 will be featured as the next Nintendo Switch Online Game Trial in Japan. If you are subscribed to the Japanese service, you can play the game entirely free for a week, and all of your progress will transfer to the full version. Keep in mind that SteamWorld Dig 2 can be played for free on any account regardless of region, as long as you’re a Nintendo Switch Online member. You will, however, need to have a Japanese Nintendo Switch Online account, or you need a Japanese account attached to a Family Plan (FYI: Family Plans can consist of all different regions.).
SteamWorld Dig 2 will be featured as a Game Trial between March 1, 2021 until March 7, 2021. All SteamWorld games will also be 30 percent off on the Japanese Switch eShop for the first two weeks of March (Ending on March 14, 2021).
If you have not played the game before, this is a great opportunity! Not only is this an excellent metroidvania in its own right, but this is arguably the best of the SteamWorld series.
Thank you for stopping by Nintendo Link for all of your indie news and free game trial updates. Will you be taking advantage of this Nintendo Switch Online trial from Japan? Have you ever played any of the SteamWorld games before? Let us know in the comments below! Happy gaming, everyone.
