Is There A Fire Emblem Engage Demo?

Fire Emblem Engage Demo

A Fire Emblem Engage demo would help fans and those curious about the franchise to check out the game before purchasing it. With a strange mechanic of bringing back classic characters from the series into battle, some may want to try out the concept before diving 100% into it. Here’s everything we know.

Does A Fire Emblem Engage Demo Exist?

A demo for Fire Emblem Engage would be fantastic to have on the Nintendo Switch, but alas, there isn’t one available to download. Nintendo has yet to announce a Fire Emblem Engage demo as of the time of writing. Unless there’s a quick announcement on social media or during a Nintendo Direct, we don’t see a Fire Emblem Engage demo happening that many months after its anticipated January release.

Is A Demo Impossible?

It could certainly happen as other major first-party releases from Nintendo have demos on the eShop. For example, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, and Mario Strikers: Battle League all have demos available. Some of them have even come out months after the initial release like Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer.

A Fire Emblem Engage demo is not out of the question, but something to consider is that Fire Emblem: Three Houses never had one. If we’re past April 2023 with no Fire Emblem Engage demo, it’s unlikely we’ll ever see one.

So what other options are there for those who want to try the game before buying? Well, have you considered visiting your local library? From my experience, you can rent out video games for two to three weeks. Heck, I beat Fire Emblem: Three Houses in that span with a library rental. It was quite the task, however.

If your library doesn’t hold games, you may want to try out GameFly if you live in the United States. There are multiple subscription options that let you rent one to multiple Switch games online through GameFly. This isn’t sponsored, but I’d recommend checking out this service if you can afford it.

We’ll update this post if a Fire Emblem Engage demo is announced by Nintendo.
