5 of the Best Reviewed Nintendo Switch Screen Protectors on Amazon
The Switch is the first gaming console that I’ve bought a protector for (my DS Lite with its broken hinges and 3DS with its busted R trigger are side-eyeing me right now) and I think that’s for three reasons. One, the screen is big enough that I thought it might actually get scratched. Two, the Switch doesn’t have a clamshell design (which I still think is a shame). And three, the most crucial – my brother bought a pack of screen protectors and I thought I’d borrow (read: steal) one.
And, as it’s coming up to Santa Season, it might be worth having a look around for some screen-protector-based Christmas stocking fillers for the gamers in your lives (and, yes, you count as a gamer in your life). But don’t worry, I’ve already had a look on Amazon for you and picked some of the top five screen protectors according to customer reviews. Huzzah!
The first two are screen protectors for the original Switch, the third is for the Lite, the fourth for the OLED and the final one is a wrap-around protector.
A quick warning: I haven’t personally tested these screen protectors and am instead basing this off of what I can find on Amazon. This list is based on reviews up to the 6th November 2022, and is not conclusive. Also, this is not sponsored.

Opinions:
This seems like a very standard tempered glass screen protector. The reviews primarily focus on them either being easy to apply and worthwhile, or that they have arrived broken in the post (always something to keep in mind when online shopping for breakable products). There are some issues with clarity and bubbles, but most people seem to be okay with them. Furthermore, there are some issues with the dust removal stickers leaving adhesive marks on the screen – from what I can tell, these stickers aren’t worth using.

Opinions:
Similar to above. Standard screen protector, easy to fit, good value, but potentially some bubbles and more trouble with the dust absorbing stickers. But, once again, most people are happy with this product.

Opinions:
Easy to apply, although there is some debate as to whether the application tool (which is not listed in the website’s description) is useful or not. One review mentioned that the touch screen sensitivity might be decreased but I only found one mention of this. The usual issues with bubbles still applies, and some people found the microfiber cloth had dust on it, so that’s something to keep in mind. But most people seemed to appreciate it and it appears worthwhile.

Opinions:
The first thing I’d like to point out is that the fitting kit (the yellow rectangle in the image) looks really useful. You place it on the Switch, and then place the screen protector inside of it, it looks much easier than any guide stickers would be anyway. Some people had trouble with the dust absorbers again, and the usual issues with bubbles remain, but, overall, it seems to be a good addition to the OLED Switch.

Opinions:
Hard/Clear:
There are some reported difficulties getting into the dock but apparently it just requires you to be more forceful than you think. Slightly difficult to fit and some people struggled to match them up with the power button, game cartridge etc. (although some of these issues were because people were trying to fit it onto the OLED which it doesn’t fit). The general opinion seems to be that it’s a good shock absorber, however.
Soft/Transparent:
People also struggled to get this to fit, and it might go yellowish over time (although most plastic cases will probably have this issue). Some people say that this case doesn’t dock, but I suspect it’s just difficult to do like with the Hard option.
Conclusion
Overall, there are loads of screen protectors out there for the Switch, Switch Lite, and OLED Switch, and while most of them are similar, I hope that this list will help you work out which one will help the gamer in your life the most.
