JINGDU 48-Slot Game Card Case for Switch Review – This is the One

Earlier this year, the JINGDU 48-Slot Game Card Case dropped for the Nintendo Switch, and this is a godsend. Last year, I reviewed the 16 and 24-slot cases, and I gave them an extremely positive review. Well, I guess you can only imagine where this review is going, but that’s not why you’re here. You found this case on Amazon or somewhere else on the internet, and you are wondering if you should invest.

So is the JINGDU 48-Slot Game Card Case a must-own physical product for your Nintendo Switch? Or is this just a bit too much? Let’s find out!

For this review, I received the Sheikah Slate design, and if you read the previous review, the height and width dimensions are identical to the 24-slot case. However, as this is literally double the size, the JINGDU 48-slot card case is a think one, a little less than double the thickness of the 24-slot, but that is not necessarily a problem considering how many games this can house.

Similar to last time, the packaging is a bit cheap-looking, although it does have a lot better presentation this time around, particularly the selling points and features. Unfortunately, there are quite a few spelling errors and incorrect words used, which does not help with the overall presentation. Thankfully, that is where the negatives stop, because it only goes up from here.

My son and I were immediately impressed with the durability of the hard outer shell, and the Sheikah Slate design is absolutely incredible and printed on wonderfully. It is mostly scratch-resistant (I mean, it will scratch if you apply enough pressure with a very sharp object), and upon quite a few drop tests, it holds surprisingly well considering the extra hinge on the 48-slot case.

The JINGDU 48-Slot Game Card Case also has a magnetic buckle design, which makes opening and closing quick, simple, and secure. I was worried this would open very easily during drop tests, but to my surprise once again, it only opened a couple times when doing the drops tests, which is a testament to how powerful the magnets being used are. Since this case does have two hinges, depending on how it hits the ground, usually only one side would open if any.

There are four silicone sleeves designed to snugly fit Nintendo Switch cartridges in a way that keeps them safe and prevents them from popping out. Upon all of my drop tests, not a single cartridge ever came out, which is even more reassuring if the case does happen to open upon impact. There are even smaller slots behind where the games go on the outside wings (Not the center parts) that can house and protect micro-SD cards, in case you may have extras for your Switch. That means you can store 48 game cartridges and 24 micro-SD cards in this case.

The 16 and 24-slot cases both do really great jobs, but if you like to carry around a lot of physical game cartridges as you travel, the JINGDU 48-Slot Game Card Case is the new number one. I personally own a lot of physical copies of games, so this new 48-slot version is even better for me than the 24-slot!

I mentioned this in the previous review, but the games being fully exposed on the front is excellent and allows me to find them quickly and easily. Compare that to a standard Switch carrying case, which tends to conceal the artwork on the front of the cartridge, and it is a breeze finding the game you want to play.

If you are looking for a solid protective casing to house 48 of your Switch cartridges, I cannot recommend the JINGDU 48-Slot Game Card Case enough. I fell in love with this brand when I reviewed the 16 and 24-slot cases, and I fell even more in love with this 48-slot case thanks to its bigger size and beautiful Zelda artwork.

The JINGDU 48-Slot Game Card Case is available for $19.99 USD, which is an absolutely steal for what you are getting. Sure, the box it comes in looks quite unprofessional due to grammatical errors, but the product itself is top-notch, looks amazing, and will protect up to 48 of your games with no problem at all.
