Is Fraymakers on Switch?

With the platform fighter genre being so fresh on Nintendo’s latest console, it would only make sense that Fraymakers on Switch will be certain. However, the indie crossover fighting game might not make it to the hybrid system. Here’s everything we know.

Can You Play Fraymakers on Switch?

Currently, you cannot play Fraymakers on Switch as it will enter its early access period on January 18. PC gamers will be able to gain access to the build on Steam. There will be four playable characters, 20 assists, five stages, rollback netcode, and FrayTools (the ability to add custom characters) on the day of its early access rollout.

“This is just the start of the Fraymakers journey,” says McLeodGaming on its Steam announcement of the early access release date. “After the launch, you can look forward to updates from us as we get to work on the next 5 playable characters, 1 DLC character (at least!), 30 assists, 9 stages, modes, and more.”

A Switch version has been confirmed for Fraymakers, as it was a Kickstarter stretch goal. We could certainly see the game on Switch when the final version has been completed like many other Steam Early Access games such as Hades.

Switch Games Like Fraymakers

While you wait for a probable Fraymakers on Switch release, there are other options available for you. The obvious choice is Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, which has almost 100 characters to play as including Sora, Mario, Link, and many other classic video game heroes and villains.

In addition, there’s Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, which is surprisingly fluid to control. The physics are similar to Super Smash Bros. Melee, and you can pull off some impressive combos you can perform with classic Nick characters like SpongeBob, Aang, and CatDog among many others.
