Is There A FIFA 23 Switch Version?
FIFA 23 is one of the most popular games in the world, so it would only make sense that there’s a FIFA 23 Switch version. EA is often criticized for the lack of its support for the beloved system. Has the beautiful game skipped the Nintendo Switch?
Can You Find A FIFA 23 Switch Version?
We have good news and bad news when it comes to the FIFA 23 Switch version. The good news is that FIFA 23 is indeed available on the system. The bad news, however, is that it lacks many of the features that PS4, PS5, Xbox, and PC players enjoy.
It includes the following mode, according to a post by Nintendo:
- Kick Off
- Career Mode
- Tournaments – Licensed and Custom, including the UEFA Champions League
- Women’s International Cup
- Skill Games
- Online Seasons & Friendlies
- Local Seasons
- FIFA Ultimate Team, which comes with Manager Tasks, Single Player & Online Seasons, Tournaments & Draft, Online Single Match, and Squad Building Challenges.
Is FIFA 23 Worth It On Switch?
Many have criticized that the FIFA 23 Switch version is simply just a roster update each year. The Nintendo post also states that there’s only a “select number of FUT Campaigns” available in the FIFA Ultimate Team mode.
“FIFA 23 Legacy Edition will feature the same gameplay features and modes from FIFA 22 Legacy Edition without any new development or significant enhancements,” says the Nintendo posting.
If you have FIFA 22‘s Legacy Edition on the Nintendo Switch, it’s not worth upgrading to FIFA 23. Hopefully, EA can step it up and actually deliver a full-fledged FIFA experience on the system. At least football fans have something to play on Switch as those who love ice hockey have never received a port of the NHL series from EA.
