Is There Fire Emblem Engage Romance?
The majority of recent Fire Emblem games have featured romance in some shape or form. Whether you whisk yourself away with Ashe or finish Fire Emblem: Three Houses with no partner is up to you. Is there any Fire Emblem Engage romance to be had? Here’s everything we know so far.
Is Fire Emblem Engage Romance A Feature?
The Fire Emblem series is known to have many waifus and husbandos to get to know and love. However, with Fire Emblem Engage, it is uncertain whether or not romance exists as a feature in the game. There are many playable characters throughout the five regions of the game, in addition to past heroes from earlier Fire Emblem games. However, Fire Emblem Engage romance has not been confirmed at all by Nintendo or the developer Intelligent Systems.
What we do know is that the relationship mechanic from past games is back, letting you grow your friendship with fellow soldiers. Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes did not have any romance whatsoever in 2022, so perhaps this could be a trend that the feature will not return.
We will update this article once we can confirm whether Fire Emblem Engage romance is an element of the game or not.

If Fire Emblem Engage romance is not a thing, there are plenty of games you should try on the Nintendo Switch instead.
Of course, there’s Fire Emblem: Three Houses that once the time skip occurs will let you romance characters. However, there are others as well.
Boyfriend Dungeon is an LGBTQ+-friendly game that lets you romance with your swords in the game. Yes, that’s right. There are swords that can transform into humans outside of battle. Each conversation with most of the characters is endearing, deep, and thoughtful. Boyfriend Dungeon is also quite a fun action game as you dive into your character’s doubts in dungeon form.
Haven is also a lovely romance game between a couple trapped on a deserted planet. It has great dialogue and good voice acting, making you believe the relationship between Yu and Kay.
