Telenet Shooting Collection Booming Onto Switch in June 2023
Edia has announced that the classic Telenet Shooting Collection, a package of arcade shoot ’em-up games originally made by Telenet Japan, will be coming to swithcin June 2023. There is no specific release date at this time. There’s no word on specific release timing, but it will be out on Switch sometime after June 2023 in Japan.
Telenet Shooting Collection Makes a Blast From the Past!
The Telenet Shooting Collection will consist of various shoot ’em-up games released by Telenet Japan from 1990 to 1992. They include Granada (1990, Genesis), Avenger (1990, PC Engine), Gaiares (1990, Genesis), and Psychic Storm (1992, PC Engine).
They have also produced several other classic games, like Valis: The Fantasm Soldier.
Edia went to Japanese crowdfunding site to Makuake in order to fund the project, which currently sits at a goal of about three million yen ($21,160 USD), for both development and marketing.
The aim of the project is to revive the games for a modern audience, according to ot the official website.
