How To Unlock Rabbid Rosalina in Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope

Rabbid Rosalina Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope Character

The laissez-faire Rabbid Rosalina in Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope is hard to unlock. You’ll have to face a tough boss and go through a few puzzles. Here’s what you need to know.

When Is Rabbid Rosalina Unlocked In Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope?

Rabbid Rosalina is unlocked in Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope when you complete the second planet Pristine Peaks. It is quite the challenge, however, as you have to climb the mountain, reach the palace, and then defeat the hard-as-nails Midnite.

When you reach inside the palace, you’ll have to press two buttons on each side of the area. The left will take you through a maze of doors. You’ll need to shatter the doors with your ZR shockwave ability. Look for walls that have cracks in them, and you’re heading in the right direction. You’ll likely have to retry the challenge multiple times to find the right sequence of doors.

On the right, you’ll have to work your way through another maze, but this time you’ll have to sneak past enemies. You can blitz through them as normal though if you want to grind experience for your characters. At the end of the route, you’ll find a button that you can press to activate the last statue. Once both statues move towards each other, the last room of the palace is open, where the ghostly Midnite awaits.

Tips To Beat Midnite

For this battle in Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, Rabbid Rosalina will join you as a fourth party member. She has the special ability, Ennui, to lock opponents into place and uses an SMG-like weapon against her foes, which sprays many bullets.

This lock ability comes in handy as Midnite is a ghost that moves from place to place in an instant. To keep her in one spot, use the lock ability, so you can strike her down. We utilized the team of Rabbid Peach, Rabbid Mario, and Edge. Rabbid Peach can heal her team effectively while Rabbid Mario can lay the smackdown with multiple hits.

In further retrospect, Luigi may have been a better choice for this Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope boss battle than Edge as he can snipe Midnite from far away with his bow and arrow.

Additionally, we recommend that you equip Electroid and Starburst to Rabbid Mario. Starburst can increase his damage by a massive 40% and physical damage is reduced by 25% while this starbit is at Level 3. Electroid also offers the shock ability, adding even more damage to your attacks with Rabbid Mario. Adding more punches with the Punch Frenzy ability in the Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope skill tree is also effective.

Get as many Giant Mushrooms as possible for this fight, however, as you’ll need plenty of healing. It will last a very long time as Midnite’s fight is set up in three stages rather than one for the Giant Wildclaw. During these stages, we recommend focusing on her and utilizing the team jumps to get as close to her as you can.

Using Rabbid Rosalina’s Ennui ability in Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope to lock Midnite in place and then using Rabbid Mario’s strength is your best strategy.

After defeating Midnite, Rabbid Rosalina will join you as she has been investigating where her human self has gone before Mario and friends arrived. She doesn’t seem that excited by the prospect, however.

Hopefully, you can triumph against Midnite in this long drawn-out boss battle. Keep that HP up and chase after this ghostly villain to succeed. Good luck, fellow players.
