How To Change Legwear in Splatoon 3
Splatoon 3 lets you change the style of your Inkling quickly. With different shirts, accessories, and even earrings to choose from, you can make them look the way you’d like. However, changing their legwear is a bit more difficult than it needs to be. Here’s how to change legwear in Splatoon 3.
How To Alter Legwear In Splatoon 3
Outside of battle, you’ll be able to boot up two different menus in Splatoon 3. To start the process of changing your legwear in Splatoon 3, press the + button on your Joycon or controller.
From here, you’ll see six different menu options: Weapons, Headgear, Clothes, Shoes, Other, and Emotes. Toggle the cursor over to the “Other” section and press the A button.
Now, you should see the TV/Tabletop Mode option, which lets you change your sensitivity. We don’t want this. Instead, press the R button twice over to Style. In this section, you’ll be able to see different hairstyles, eyebrows, and legwear. You’ll want to pick the bottom section.
You can now switch between different legwear options. You can have shorts that look like you’re a skater or baggy jean shorts that ruffle at the bottom. The jean shorts reach the shins and look stylish and comfortable on your Inkling fellow.
No matter the choice, press the A button and it will instantly switch to that option until you change it once more in this “Style” menu. Whatever your choice, it doesn’t matter for Salmon Run games as you’re forced to wear the uniform.
Why Is This So Hard To Find?
It’s quite confusing why changing your legwear is such a hassle. It should be easily accessible as different T-shirts suit different shorts. It would have been cool if we had more clothing options with the shorts like different colours and styles. Heck, Splatoon 3 could get fashionable by including ripped jeans, for example.
On the other hand, it’s cool to look sporty with your inkling with a fusion of jean shorts and tights. There are nine styles of shorts/pants/trousers to choose from, so there are at least some stylistic options to be had. Perhaps a future update could give us more legwear in Splatoon 3. At least you can customize your locker to however you’d like.
