Is Assassin’s Creed Mirage on Switch?

The Assassin’s Creed series has slowly been releasing its games on the Nintendo Switch with older entries like Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed III getting ports to the system. However, with the system reaching over 110 million units sold worldwide, is Assassin’s Creed Mirage on Switch soon? Here’s what we know.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage on Switch Looks Uncertain

Unfortunately, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is not confirmed to be on the system as of the time of writing. Like Origins and Valhalla, this entry in the beloved universe will not be coming to the Nintendo Switch anytime soon.

On the official website for Assassin’s Creed Mirage lists a 2023 release for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Epic Games Store, PC, and the streaming service Amazon Luna. As a somewhat sad side note, it’s interesting that the Google Stadia has been dropped for contention.

Is It Impossible For Assassin’s Creed Mirage To Come To Switch?

Assassin’s Creed Mirage on Switch may be a pipe dream, but there have been triple-A releases in the past that have relied upon the cloud. With a big open-world game like this set in the middle east, the Nintendo Switch may not be able to run the game natively.

However, with the cloud, the Switch has been able to run graphically intensive games like Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Dying Light 2, and Control to varying results. Ubisoft has tepidly tried to bring Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey to the cloud in just Japan, but the French company hasn’t moved forward since then. Hopefully, it can change its mind when Assassin’s Creed Mirage graces the gaming landscape.

Which Assassin’s Creed Games Can You Play on the Switch?

Despite Assassin’s Creed Mirage on Switch not happening, there is a slew of titles we can play on the system. They include:

• Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection, which comes with all three games in the Italian Assassin’s story.
• Assassin’s Creed III: Remastered
• Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed: Rogue in the Assassin’s Creed Rogue Collection

All of the aforementioned games are solid replacements for Assassin’s Creed Mirage. However, we hope Ubisoft considers making the more modern titles available via cloud streaming in the near future.
