Five Exciting September 2022 Switch Games To Watch Out For
The September 2022 Switch lineup is going to be exciting, especially if you love being a squid. We’ll be fighting it out with ink in Splatoon 3 and will be meeting our favorite animated characters in Disney Dreamlight Valley, while we farm. It might be the end of summer, but this month is absolutely hot.
The DioField Chronicle
A new strategy RPG is incoming for the Nintendo Switch, and that would be DioField Chronicle. Releasing on September 22, this game features a real-time tactical battle system that has you making decisions as the action is happening. It creates a suspenseful, yet exciting change to the strategy RPG genre.
The art style is quite lovely to behold as well as it takes place on a diorama tabletop-like board with detailed environments. If you’re curious, there’s a demo right now with a save file that can be carried over to the full game.
Disney Dreamlight Valley
Getting tired of Animal Crossing: New Horizons and want to play something new? Disney Dreamlight Valley on September 6 might be just the ticket. You’ll be farming, looking after your town, placing buildings where you want them, and will be fulfilling quests for the Disney characters you meet along the way.
Remy from Ratatouille will be cooking for you, and The Little Mermaid’s Ursula will likely make potions for you along the way. It will be free-to-play, but before its full release in 2023, there will be a Founder’s Pack you’ll have to buy to gain early access.
No Place For Bravery
The indie game to look out for in the September 2022 Switch lineup is No Place For Bravery. Delayed into this month, this game has much promise with its gorgeous 2D visuals and epic battles that will require you to dodge, counter, and parry to victory.
No Place For Bravery will be diving into the theme of fatherhood. The publisher says on the eShop page that “the game, informed by the developers’ personal life experiences and feelings, ponders where a parent’s obligation ends and something more primal begins.” It will be released for the Nintendo Switch on September 22. Prepare for the feels with this September 2022 Switch game.
Splatoon 3 is the most anticipated September 2022 Switch Game
You’re a kid now and you’re a squid now because Splatoon 3 is nearing its anticipated release date of September 9. The much beloved third-person shooter/paintathon will be taking us to the Splatlands, a desert-themed area.
There will be new weapons like the Tri-Stinger, which lets you shoot arrows from a bow from a far-away distance, and the cool Splatanas that offer quick, short-range splats. Nintendo will certainly show its creativity within Splatoon 3. This is one September 2022 Switch game that will be number one for many weeks on the eShop chart.
TemTem
After TemTem‘s mega-successful early access period on PC, the game will finally be released for the Switch on September 6. Inspired by the Pokémon series, you’ll be collecting monsters called TemTem that you can win battles with.
Something to keep in mind, however, is that TemTem is much more challenging than one of Nintendo’s premier franchises. Even with standard battles, you’ll have to really think about each move, making a perfect strategy to win. TemTem also features co-op gameplay, so you can team up with a friend on your journey. It could be a hit September 2022 Switch game, for sure.
