Wave Race 64 Coming to Nintendo Switch Online August 19th
Nintendo has confirmed that the classic jet ski racing game, Wave Race 64, will be coming to the Nintendo 64 retro library of Nintendo Switch Online on August 19, 2022.

Wave Race 64 was originally released in 1996 for the Nintendo 64 family of systems, and quickly became a hit for its fun racing locations and interactive gameplay. The was also praised for its highly responsive water physics and graphics, which have been updated for Nintendo Switch Online and add an extra layer of challenge to each race as players strive to reach the finish line!
The official press description by Nintendo reads:
Take to the waves in Wave Race 64, originally released for the Nintendo 64 system, coming to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members on 8/19.
Funnily enough, this is not the first time the game has been ported to another Nintendo console, as it was previously re-released for the Wii and Wii U Virtual Consoles in 2007 and 2016, respectively.
The Switch version of the game will feature iconic locations that veteran fans know and love and new players will come to enjoy, such as the icy glacier track and a twinkling cityscape.
