Five Exciting August 2022 Nintendo Switch Games To Watch Out For

We’re in the heat of summer, and despite the need to get some fresh air, you’ll need to get some gaming time in. Thankfully, there are some intriguing indie games to pick up in the August 2022 Nintendo Switch lineup.

Arcade Paradise

Arcade Paradise is quite a unique game to pick up on the Nintendo Switch. There are over 35 arcade games to play as you manage the business that holds these experiences. The playable titles are inspired by three decades of the industry from vector-based graphics all the way to 32-bit. However, those are just a distraction as you try to successfully transition the laundromat to an arcade. It will be released on August 11.

Cult of the Lamb is the most hyped August 2022 Nintendo Switch game

The most popular game at PAX East 2022 with attendees waiting hours just to play it, Cult of the Lamb looks cute as first, but the aim is to start a cult and play as a possessed lamb. You’ll be collecting resources to build new areas in your encampment and, according to the Steam page, will “perform dark rituals to appease the gods.” You’ll also be facing off against some tough bosses, so you can absorb their powers. It’s like a messed up version of Megaman. It will be releasing on August 11. The August 2022 Nintendo Switch lineup might be the scariest yet.

Pac-Man World: Re-Pac

Many Pac-Man fans have been waiting for this, and the time is near. The original Pac-Man World is going to be remade for a new generation, and it will be available for the Nintendo Switch on August 26. The yellow mascot will be venturing through six areas in Ghost Island to save his friends and family from the menacing Toc-Man.\

“With enhanced graphics and features, PAC-MAN WORLD Re-PAC is platforming fun for experienced PAC-fans and new PAC-thusiasts!” says Bandai Namco on the game’s official page. We’ll see if it meets expectations when it releases as an August 2022 Nintendo Switch title.

If you’re looking for any more nostalgia on your Nintendo Switch, we’d recommend getting the Sonic Origins collection.

Tinykin

Also quite a popular title at PAX East, Tinykin is hoping to delight 3D platforming fans on August 30. The game works similarly to the Pikmin series. You find hundreds of different Tinykin in the area and then use them to solve puzzles.

They can form ladders, bridges, and explosives to help you get to new areas. The art style is also striking with an Amazing World of Gumball-type look to the character models and animation. It might be a surprise hit for the August 2022 Nintendo Switch lineup.

Two Point Campus

Last up is Two Point Campus. a university management game with a bright cartoon-like aesthetic. With the game’s in-engine tools, you can create fanciful gardens and buildings around your campus to make it stand out. You’ll have whacky classes that some of the students may regret later in life, such as a Knight School, but you’ll have to hire the right people to make your attendees happy.

Prior PC games with deep interfaces on the Nintendo Switch haven’t faired too well on a simple controller like Civilization VI, but we have our hopes up when it releases on August 9.

Hopefully names the moniker of a game to look out for as an August 2022 Nintendo Switch game.
