EXIT VEIL Kickstarter Campaign Has Now Launched
Cherrymochi have announced that they have now launched their Kickstarter campaign for their latest title, EXIT VEIL. It’s said to be a dark-psychedelic JRPG that takes inspiration from top games such as Bloodborne, Final Fantasy and Eternal Darkness.
Take a look at the trailer below:
About EXIT VEIL
In EXIT VEIL players step into the role of Tori, a young woman lost, cut off from the world, struggling to come to terms with her new reality as it decays around her. She is led on a descent deep into a labyrinth of realms – the domains ofArchetypes, Egregores, Servitors, Daemons, Angels, and The Machine-Elves. Deep within these realms lies the source of decay, relentlessly destroying all it touches and it is up to the player to help Tori pacify the decay, heal the realms, and find her way home.
Players explore these dark domains by controlling Tori in a 3D third person view. EXIT VEIL’s innovative turn-based combat will pit players against eldritch entities with a focus on healing over outright violence. Inspired by MMO healing classes, EXIT VEIL’s battles will require a mixture of tense, strategic planning and quick thinking in order to keep Tori alive.
In EXIT VEIL, Tarot cards represent abilities the player can use both in and out of battle. Each card must be created by gathering the required emotions from the enemies they encounter. The relationship between Tarot cards and emotions–as well as the abilities they grant–will teach the player how Tarot cards relate to archetypes and elements. This knowledge can be used to the player’s advantage; both within the game and in their own real life exploration of Tarot. |
