How to Solve the Graveyard Puzzle in Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course
Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course DLC is officially out, and it is awesome! But there is a graveyard puzzle that seems to be stumping people, and it is a bit layered. I am sure most players are still having a tough time beating the new bosses, lone enough being worried about solving some puzzle withing the new DLC, but what if I were to tell you that one of the new bosses is hidden within this puzzle? Yeah. This layered puzzle has a solid pay off, so it is definitely worth your time.
So let’s go over how to solve the graveyard puzzle in Cuphead‘s new DLC, The Delicious Last Course!
- First you need to defeat some bosses in order to access the area where the graveyard is located. If you are looking to do this quickly, I suggest Glumstone the Giant followed by Mortimer Freeze, whom are both located on the right side of the island. At the graveyard, you will see a Sherlock Holmes-looking ghost peaking behind a tree, and he gives you some clues.
- Obtain a coin, with the easiest one being through Recipe for Ms. Chalice, the little intro tutorial for the new character located at the food cart near the bakery. Once you have one coin, purchase the Broken Relic from Porkrind’s Emporium.
- The next thing you need to do is go and speak to the three climbers standing on a podium between Porkrind’s Emporium and Glumstone the Giant. Pay attention to what they say, because they are giving you very indirect clues about locations. Also make sure to note where they are on the podium as this will determine the order of operations for the puzzle.
- Make sure you equip the Broken Relic charm and head back to the graveyard area.
- The Broken Relic allows you to interact with all of the gravestones but the middle one. When you interact with the grave stones, a little blue ghost will appear, and you get to select three grave stones at a time.
- The climber’s phrases are different for everyone (e.g “All I can do is throw my hands up, left to wallow in third place”, which means the upper-left grave stone is the third one), so again, make sure you take note and go from the first place climber, then second, then third.
- It is worth noting that some times the phrase from one of the climbers is a bit vague (e.g. “I’m the winner and all is right in the world”, which can mean any right-side grave stone), so some trial-and-error is required.
- If you get the correct combination of grave stones, the three blue ghost will dance, and the middle grave stone will light up. This is the opening to the secret boss battle between the Angel and the Devil.
I hope this helps in your adventure in The Delicious Last Course and solving the graveyard puzzle.
