How to get the Silver Master Key in Young Souls
Getting access to different keys in adventure games is important, and the Silver Master Key in Young Souls is one of them. Here’s where to find it, so you can unlock doors and silver treasure chests.
Where to find the Silver Master Key in Young Souls
The Silver Master Key in Young Souls can be found in the Drowned Caverns through the Level 7 section doorway called Full Moon. It’s north of the purple crystals over a spattering of stone paths.
Go through this area behind the doorway until you face Balkin. If you have a look at his belt carefully, you’ll see a silver key hanging around. Yes, you’ll need to beat this tricky boss to retrieve the Silver Master Key in Young Souls.
To beat Balkin, you’ll need to have a great understanding of the parry system. To put it shortly, you’ll need to tap the ZL button at just the right time to block and parry one of his spear strikes. Be careful, however, as he can fake an attack with his spear before hitting. Try to watch and read his movements before attempting to parry.
Before facing Balkin, we also recommend equipping a weapon that isn’t lightning imbued. As this boss has attacks of that element, he is more resistant to lightning-based attacks. Sprinting in parts of the battle to avoid attacks may help too.
Effectively parry his attacks to succeed and strike when it’s stunned. It’s going to be a tough battle, but you can do it.
After you’ve beaten Balkin, he will drop the Silver Master Key in Young Souls. You can now use this to get to further areas in the game. We also recommend returning to prior areas to unlock those silver chests you’ve missed.
