Is There An Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection Physical Edition?
Ezio’s journey in Italy will finally come to the Nintendo Switch on February 17, but is there a physical edition to come with it? There’s somewhat of a mixed answer.
What does the Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection Physical Edition include?
Thankfully, Nintendo Switch owners can get a physical copy of Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection. However, you may be dismayed by one fact: only Assassin’s Creed II is on the cart. The other two games in the trilogy Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations are included as DLC vouchers inside and have to be downloaded. It’s a good deal for $40 though.
Despite the games being fragmented off the cart, the Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection physical version comes with all of the DLC for the three games and two short films (Assassin’s Creed: Lineage and Assassin’s Creed: Embers)
Switch owners also have the ability to apply HD Rumble to the whole trilogy. They can also proceed through menus portably with the touch screen, which was a feature in Assassin’s Creed III‘s port for the Wii U.
The only thing that’s missing is the multiplayer modes that were present in Revelations. As the single-player campaign is the star of Ezio’s trilogy, we don’t mind.
Despite not all the games being on the cart, the trilogy is well worth playing, due to excellent storytelling and worldbuilding. All three games in The Ezio Collection, plus the two short movies and DLC, releases for the Switch on February 17.
