Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition Officially Announced
After a lot of rumors and speculation, Rockstar has officially announced Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, and this ultimate collection is coming to the Nintendo Switch! The plan is to release The Trilogy later this year.
Check out the official trailer:
The Trilogy will include Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City, and San Andreas, and each one “will feature across-the-board upgrades including graphical improvements and modern gameplay enhancements”, although Rockstar confirms they will retain “the classic look and feel of the originals.”
Later this month even marks the 20th anniversary of Grand Theft Auto III, which lines up perfectly with this release, especially since GTAIII was the title that really changed gears for the franchise moving forward.
Rockstar also confirmed they will have more information in the weeks ahead, including a proper release date.
This is absolutely huge news, because this marks the first time that mainline Grand Theft Auto titles have made their way to a Nintendo console. It may not be the newest ones, but Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition definitely contains 3 of the best games in the series.
