Capcom Shows Off Two New Monsters for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak
At Tokyo Game Show 2021 today, Capcom confirmed that Malzeno will be the flagship monster for the new Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak expansion that will release next year. It is confirmed to be “a fierce elder dragon”, but Capcom was short on any other details.
On top of the Malzeno news, we also learned something else from Capcom. Shogun Ceanataur, a crab-like monster who first appeared in Monster Hunter 2, will be back in Sunbreak. Both monsters will definitely be adding a lot to the upcoming DLC.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak was announced during latest Nintendo Direct, and it includes a new storyline, a new base of operations, new locales, monsters, gameplay features, quest rank, and even more. Players will need to own the base game and complete the 7-star Hub Quest called “Serpent Goddess of Thunder” in Monster Hunter Rise in order to play Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will release on Switch Summer 2022.
