Nintendo Switch Online To Receive Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis Games
Recently announced in a Nintendo Direct, Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis games are finally coming to the Nintendo Switch Online’s service in October, albeit in a new subscription tier. The expansion tier will also include access to all features of the cheaper tier, including online play, cloud saves, NES and SNES game libraries, and everything else.
Check out the Direct video:
One cool feature mentioned is that these games will have online multiplayer, allowing you to play these originally couch multiplayer games with your buddies over the internet on your Nintendo Switch!
There’s quite a list of games coming out for each console, so strap yourself in and get ready for the games.

To top all of that off, Nintendo Switch controllers featuring the designs of both the Nintendo 64 controller and the Sega Genesis controller are planned for release as well! It remains to be seen just how they stack up, but I for one hope they don’t use the original sicks for the Nintendo 64 model.
Needless to say, we are extremely excited for these releases, though there’s at least one of us (probably all of us, I didn’t take a poll) at Nintendo Link who would have loved to see Donkey Kong 64 on the list.
Let us know what games from the Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis you want to see added in the future!
