Chrono Faction, Roguelike CCG, Launches on Kickstarter!
Who doesn’t love a good Kickstarter campaign? Exactly! We all love it! This time, we’re talking about Chrono Faction, a roguelike collectable card game that blurs the lines between action and strategy.
First off, take a look at the game’s trailer below:
Now, let’s take a little look at the campaign itself.
Chrono Faction puts a fresh spin on the deck-builder genre, launching on both NINTENDO SWITCH and PC (via STEAM) in Q4 2021. The game is designed as a premium experience with ZERO micro-transactions or F2P mechanics.
Chrono Faction is designed to be both accessible and deep. Its core rules/mechanics can be learned in minutes but the game’s large array of cards and accessories –  alongside its dynamic battlefield – provide long-term depth and unpredictability.Â
Chrono Faction features over 140 cards, spread across 5 unique categories; Standard attack cards, Advanced attack cards, Critical attack cards, Support cards and Utility cards.
The city is governed by 3 District Stats (Enemy, Economy and Luck) that act as global modifiers and fluctuate based on your choices and performance. Defeat a Perimeter Defence Turret and watch the city’s Enemy stat adjust, making all opponents a little easier. Or use a Mainframe Terminal to hack into the Trader Network, improving the city’s Economy stat and giving you lower prices – and rarer cards – when visiting the TRADER.
Every enemy you encounter in the city will have unique properties, including varying Health amounts and an overall RANK that dictates the maximum level of their Attack Cards. Enemies also come with their own strategies, abilities and rewards.Â
Take a look at the Kickstarter campaign page here as it has a ton of information along with details on how to back it! Go on, you know you want to! It’s currently hit £426 of its £35,000 goal, so it has a bit of a way to go just yet.
What do you think? Is this a game you will be picking up on day one? Will you backing this one? What are the Kickstarters you have recently backed? We want to hear from you, so let us know down in the comments! Thank you for stopping by Nintendo Link.
