Overwatch Officially Getting Cross-Play Support
Earlier today, Blizzard announced that Overwatch, the incredibly popular team-based shooter, will be receiving cross-play functionality in the near-future. This means that Switch players will be able to go up against players on other consoles and PC, expanding the player base across the board for everyone. At the moment, cross-progression will not be available for the launch, but the team is looking into it.
If you have not already, you will need to create a Battle.net account in order to participate. If you follow the steps and log in to Overwatch by the end of the year, December 31st, 2021, you will receive a Golden Loot Box for your efforts.
The Cross-Play Beta launches on Nintendo Switch soon, so if you need help connecting your Battle.net account to your console, you can learn how to do so from PlayOverwatch.
