Monster Hunter Rise Offers Paid DLC for Layered Armor
Monster Hunter Rise has been out for a couple weeks now, and Chelly and I absolutely love the game! However, as is the case with many of CAPCOM’s games, Rise also is starting to see a roll out of paid DLC in the form of layered armor, gestures, poses, and hairstyles. It is not the most impressive paid DLC, but it does follow suit with the Team Fortress mentality where cosmetics may be the way CAPCOM earns money after the initial purchase.
DLC Pack 1, also known as the Value Pack, includes the following:
- “Fox Mask” Hunter layered armor piece
- “Theater Wig” Hunter layered armor piece
- “Wyverian Earrings” Hunter layered armor piece
- “Nine Tails” Palico layered armor set
- “Long Coat Costume” Palamute layered armor set
- “High Five” gesture
- “Attack” pose set
- “Hurt” pose set
As a set, the Value Pack costs a whopping $19.99 USD, which may be a bit off putting for players who only want certain parts of the downloadable content pack.
Thankfully, CAPCOM is also offering each piece of the Value Pack separately for more reasonable prices, as well as other singular paid DLC. Here is the current full price list:
- “Fox Mask” Hunter layered armor piece – $1.49 USD
- “Theater Wig” Hunter layered armor piece – $1.49 USD
- “Wyverian Earrings” Hunter layered armor piece – $1.49 USD
- “Nine Tails” Palico layered armor set $1.99 USD
- “Long Coat Costume” Palamute layered armor set – $1.99 USD
- “High Five” gesture – $1.99 USD
- “Attack” pose set – $1.99 USD
- “Hurt” pose set – $1.99
- “Eye Shadow” makeup – $0.99 USD
- “Hero” face paint – $0.99 USD
- “Spread Wings” makeup – $0.99 USD
- “Airy Short Bob” hairstyle – $1.49 USD
- “Beachy Waves” hairstyle – $1.49 USD
- “Great Baggi Crest” hairstyle – $1.49 USD
- Hunter Voice: Master Utsushi – $2.99 USD
- Hunter Voice: Hinoa the Quest Maiden – $2.99 USD
- “Wind-up Cohoot” Cohoot outfit – $0.99 USD
- “Fluffy Hood” Cohoo outfit – $0.99 USD
As the game continues to progress and receive its free updates, one can only imagine that more paid DLC will be on the way. Based on the assumption from previous Monster Hunter titles, I can imagine a lot of collaborative content is on the way, so if you are looking for that Mega Man costume for your Palico, it is only a matter of time.
Thank you for stopping by Nintendo Link for all of your Monster Hunter news and updates. Will you partake in any of the paid DLC? Let us know in the comments below. Happy gaming, everyone!
