New Nintendo Direct Debuting February 17
Nintendo finally announced their newest Nintendo Direct today, and in true Nintendo fashion, the Nintendo Direct will take place tomorrow, February 17th, 2021 (Why don’t they give us a little more time between announcement and event?).
The only detail we have at the moment is that the Direct will talk about Super Smash Bros Ultimate and games coming to the Nintendo Switch in the first half of 2021. This will be the first full Direct since September 4th, 2019, and it will be a full 50-minutes.
Speculation leans towards The Legend of Zelda 35th Anniversary announcements, which could see some fanfare in a similar way to the Super Mario 35th anniversary that took place last year. There was even a leak this past week that showed an Australia copyright for Phantom Hourglass, a Zelda game that released back on the Nintendo DS.
But this is simply speculation, and we will cover the actual Nintendo Direct tomorrow when it goes live at 2pm PST / 5pm EST / 10pm GST / 7am JST. Stay tuned here for more when the Nintendo Direct happens tomorrow. And remember, this is not a Direct Mini or a specific game Direct. This is a real Nintendo Direct! The first one in well over a year.
