Apex Legends Grappling Onto Nintendo Switch March 9

apex legends

Well, what do you know? Hours after we reported on the officially licensed Apex Legends controllers for the Nintendo Switch, Respawn and EA have announced that the much anticipated free-to-play shooter is launching on everyone’s favorite hybrid console on March 9, 2021.

Alongside the announcement of the Switch’s release date, Respawn is also offering Black Lives Matter badges for the month of February starting at 8pm PT today. It is a nice reminder that we will always stand in solidarity as we move forward together.

For those unfamiliar with Apex Legends, it is a free-to-play first person arena shooter with grappling hooks. It is a fun title that took attention away from Fortnite for a brief moment, but it is still holding its own quite well.

EA and Respawn also confirmed that the Switch port was handled by none other than Panic Button, the brilliant team behind a lot of major Switch ports, including DOOM, DOOM Eternal, Rocket League, Torchlight 2, and Wolfenstein: The New Colossus among others.
