Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury A Bigger, Badder Bowser Trailer
Nintendo released a new trailer for Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury today which shows off the new content for the upcoming Switch port of the fantastic Wii U game. The title, “A Bigger, Badder Bowser”, does not shy away from the reality of an enormous King Koopa, but we also get a glimpse of Cat Mario going a bit Super Saiyan.
If you have not seen the trailer yet, check it out right here!
Within the trailer, we see Mario and Bowser Jr working together in the Bowser’s Fury content of the game, and it looks like there are new coins to get and new Cat-themed “stars” to collect at the end of levels.
New to the game this time around is online multiplayer, which was absent in the Wii U version of the game. This will allow up to four players to play and complete the game together online, as long as each player has an active Nintendo Online account.
Whether this allows for cooperative play as Bowser Jr throughout the whole game or just in the Bowser’s Fury DLC has yet to be disclosed. Either way, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is setting up to be a great addition to anyone’s Nintendo Switch library when it launches on February 12, 2021.
In addition to the new game trailer for Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, Nintendo also revealed a new Nintendo Switch themed after Super Mario himself. The Mario Red and Blue-themed Switch is a great package and comes with a lot more than you would expect.
Here are the contents of the new Switch console:
- Red Joy-Con controllers with blue straps
- A blue Joy-Con grip
- A red Switch dock
- A red Switch system
- A stylized Mario Red & Blue Edition Carrying Case
- A screen protector
This will mark the first time the Switch console itself will be a different color, so that is exciting! The Mario Red & Blue Switch console will be available for the normal price of $299.99 and will also launch on February 12, 2021 alongside the game.
One can only hope that The Legend of Zelda and Metroid will get similar treatments for their 35th anniversaries, but… I doubt Metroid will at all.
