The Bit.Trip Series is Flashing its Way onto Nintendo Switch

The Bit.Trip series is a staple in the indie game world. CommanderVideo and his epic journey has been told since the series launched on WiiWare back in 2009, and he has since guest appeared on numerous other indie projects and even had a collaboration called Bit.Trip Saga that released on the Nintendo 3DS that compiled all the games in the series.

Now, CommanderVideo is back and making his way to the Nintendo Switch with all six games in the Bit.Trip series releasing on the eShop Christmas Day 2020.

The Bit.Trip Series

CommanderVideo’s 8-bit adventures take place across six wild games with Bit.Trip Runner being the most famous of the bunch. For those unfamiliar with the series, here is a rundown of each game:

Bit.Trip Beat

CommanderVideo’s journey begins in Bit.Trip Beat, the first entry in the critically acclaimed and award-winning Bit.Trip series.

From gameplay to visuals to music and imagination, Bit.Trip Beat is inspired by classic games in every way. In a control scheme brand new to the series, yet wholly familiar to gamers, the player is given complete freedom to move about the screen wherever they desire, interacting with the music in brand new ways. The classic gameplay aesthetic remains, as color – and the absence of color – are explored to the fullest.
