NEO: The World Ends With You Announced by Square Enix
A countdown clock was set a few days ago and even tweeted by Square’s headquarters’ PR. People had many speculations, but ultimately Square Enix announced a new The World Ends With You anime and NEO: The World Ends With You, a proper sequel to the original that released on the Nintendo DS in 2007.
The new game is set for the Nintendo Switch and the PS4 in 2021.
There is not a whole lot of information about the game at the moment, but it is beyond exciting that this cult classic is finally getting the attention it properly deserves.
The original The World Ends With You debuted on the Nintendo DS in 2007, and then that game was remade for mobile and the Nintendo Switch back in 2018 as The World Ends With You: Final Remix. Since then, Square Enix has been quiet about the franchise, and the only thing we were aware of was the upcoming anime.
To say it was a pleasant surprise is an understatement, and there is a lot of reason to be excited as a Nintendo Switch owner. We will keep you updated regarding NEO: The World Ends With You as Square Enix continues to pump out information.
