No More Heroes 1 & 2 on the Nintendo Switch eShop Now
An out-of-nowhere Mini Direct graced us today, and it brought alongside it numerous announcements, dates, and surprises that are still leaving many of us in a daze. One of those surprises is the fact that Suda-51, the brains behind the No More Heroes series, has officially announced that No More Heroes 1 & 2 are officially on the Nintendo Switch as of right now.
The games are both priced well, and you can buy No More Heroes and No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle for the discounted price of $17.99 at the moment (Their normal price will be $19.99 once this initial sale is over).
This is an insanely amazing announcement, as there are many players out there that are unfamiliar with the quirky and bizarre series that initially released on the Nintendo Wii in 2007. As we are approaching No More Heroes 3‘s release in 2021, this is a great way to introduce the series to new people, and it will not cost them the price of a new retail game.
Both No More Heroes 1 & 2 are remastered version of the Nintendo Wii originals, and they look so much better than they did before. The series uses a beautiful cell-shade graphic style, so the jump from SD to HD was not going to make a huge difference. However, the colors, particularly, pop so much more and make the games look better than ever.
For those unfamiliar with the series, No More Heroes follows Travis Touchdown, the #11 ranked assassin in the United Assassins Association, and he is working his way up the ladder by taking out the Top 10 assassins to become #1.
He is equipped with his beam katana, and he is no joke. He is a bit rough around the edges and he doesn’t shy away from confrontation, but he is a good guy that does care about the people he loves.
The second game picks up where the first one leaves off, and it only gets wackier once we find out that Travis has dropped to Rank 51 and one of the sister’s of the previous game’s assassins is out for vengeance.
These are titles that will entertain and make you scratch your head from start to finish. Suda-51 never releases a dull title, and his most popular No More Heroes series proves just that. If you are interested in this series at all and have never experienced it before, I highly recommend trying out one or both of the originals, especially at their current $17.99 discount.
Thank you for stopping by Nintendo Link for all of your Nintendo news and needs. What did you think of this surprise announcement about No More Heroes 1 & 2 releasing on the Switch today?
