Bravely Default 2 Preorders Open Today and Release Date Announced

At today’s Nintendo Direct Mini (Watch it here) the first piece of news was on Bravely Default 2.

They announced four new heroes including Seth; a young sailor, Elvis; a traveling scholar, Adelle; a mercenary and Gloria; a princess from a fallen kingdom.

They also told us about the asterisk holders. Dag, holder of the vanguard asterisk, has a big shield which provides both a great defense for the character as well as some good attacks when the shield is used as a weapon.

Orpheus Tragoidia, holder of the bard asterisk, uses some narly beats as both attack and defense and what’s even better is that the character’s abilities affect multiple targets.

Anihal, the holder of the Beast master asterisk is probably the coolest of the asterisk holders as she has some awesome powers including the ability to summon and control beasts to use in battle such as an awesome sand worm shown off in the trailer. As well as the ability to capture monsters to fight for you.

Finally, Shirley Clarence, the holder of the Gambler Asterisk seems like the most fun of the asterisk holders. She spins a wheel which can lead to some awesome moves or instant death: hence gambler.

They mentioned that the March 2020 demo brought in a whopping 20,000 survey responses telling the devs how to improve the game. The devs picked up on concerns surrounding both controls as well as difficulty settings which they said they were already working on fixing.

A new world to explore named the continent of Excillant was also announced and despite the last gen art the turn based combat and variety of characters is getting me super excited for this game.
