ScourgeBringer Aims for an October Release on Switch
Developer Flying Oak Games and Publisher Dear Villagers have announced that the fast-paced roguelike platformer, ScourgeBringer, will come to the Nintendo Switch on October 21st.
ScourgeBringer hit the Steam top 20 bestsellers chart when it entered Early Access back in February, and the game will officially exit Early Access and release widely across all platforms as it finally enters Version 1.0.
Check out the announcement trailer.
The game aims to channel the mystery and rawness of an early roguelike platformer. Fluid controls, aerial combat, pixel graphics, and a punchy soundtrack create for an experience that fans of the genre have been clamoring for.
The story follows Kyhra as she is sent away to uncover the secrets of an Eldritch monolith which is threatening to destroy her world. Armed with her trusty combat drone, Kyhra must shoot and slash her way through the infinite depths of an ever-changing dungeon that contains gigantic bosses, ancient machines, strange ghosts, and untold secrets from previous explorers.
Similar to games like The Binding of Isaac, there is to backtracking, since the game’s structure follows a procedural combination of pre-built challenge rooms that will test your skills and patience to the max.
ScourgeBringer will cost $14.99 when it launches on the Switch eShop this October. You can follow Flying Oak Games and Dear Villagers on Twitter for updates as well.
