As we get closer to the inevitable announcement, more information about the rumored The Legend of Zelda live-action movie continue to surface. The project has been infuriatingly quiet and we still know very little about it, but we did learn many months ago that Netflx expressed interest in bringing Link and Zelda into the live-action arena with its own show or movie. Now, we are getting word that Brie Larson, the Academy Award winning actress and start of the hit Marvel film Ms Marvel, desires the role of Princess Zelda.
There are some sources, albeit thin ones, that claim Brie Larson is not only interested in playing the princess and titular character of the long-running video game series, but she has also been in communication with direct discussions with Nintendo itself about her interest. If these sources are accurate, an actress of this caliber would truly spark a larger interest for the project!
We are well aware of Brie Larson’s love for gaming, as made evident by her hilarious (and first) YouTube video illustrating a difficult decision she had to make with her boyfriend at the time. If you have not witnessed this before, I highly recommend checking it out.
She is a big fan of Super Mario, and her exposure to the gaming community has been met with embrace and disdain. Whether you love her or hate her, she is a fun personality and a mega-famous individual in the Hollywood circle.
If this project is actually happening, what do you think of the prospect of Brie Larson playing Princess Zelda? Is this something that would influence you in seeing the movie more? Or would you see it regardless of who is actually acting in it?
Thank you for stopping by Nintendo Link for all of your Nintendo-related news and needs. What do you think about the Big N possible getting back into the movie scene again? Let us know what you think in the comments below! Happy gaming, everyone.
